ABOUT THE ANTEROOM
Updated March 2004
Welcome to The Anteroom, a project of Marmoset Media.
The Anteroom was written weekly - briefly - by Caitlin Burke, a freelance writer and editor living in San Francisco. Its two goals were to encourage critical thinking by examining the world around us and to spark discussion by using art to explore current events. Then a couple of planes hit these buildings in New York, and the enterprise rapidly became too difficult to sustain. It could come back one day.
The Anteroom contains two regular columns: "A Little Light Reading" and "Now Playing." "A Little Light Reading" introduces a selection of books or Web sites to show a range of thoughts about events with social or political importance. "Now Playing" discusses a film in the context of current events.
The Anteroom has a point of view, and it thinks you should, too (your own, that is).
